I figured the first photoblog entry of the New Year should be something pretty awesome...
Good news! We're in luck!
A beautiful superyacht is in town this weekend, berthing at Port Louis Marina.
The Plan B is a refitted Australian naval vessel, first launched as the HMAS Flinders in 1972. In 1998 the HMAS Flinders was decommissioned and sold, undergoing two separate refittings by two different owners - most recently in 2007 with the extension of the upper deck for a helipad.
The Plan B is equipped with Zerospeed Stabilizers (keeps the boat level when you're anchored), a Eurocopter EC 145 helicopter, and a small submarine.
Happy new year, everyone. :-)

A helicopter!!!! Bad ass!!!
Beautiful. I'm living vicariously through your images. It looks a little ragged on the side. Is it being sanded for a repaint?
Hey Mike! Nope, she's got a wicked gun-metal gray matte-looking but still glossy finish on the lower third.
