The official Parade of the Bands was scheduled for Tuesday of last week, but heavy rains forced the Carnival Committee to reschedule the event to Saturday. Many folks were worried that the Carnival vibe would diminish during the working days between events, but their low-turnout-predictions were not realized. Thousands of people filled the streets to participate and spectate as the 2009 Carnival season put on its colorful finale.
