Well, not Spinal Tap - but it is a human spinal cord...
After a day of island recreation, participants of SGU's Summer Academy were back into the academics. Day Four centered around the nervous system, with hands-on activities for both the medical camp and the veterinary camp.
Above: Kerri-Ann (blue-green scrub top), a 2nd year med student from Trinidad, invites the med campers to feel a preserved human spinal cord during the morning's wet-lab activities in the cadaver lab. At various stations around the lab other campers were handling whole brains and other nervous tissues.
