Last week I shot an alternative medicine seminar at St. George's University...
"Dr. Chris Hollis runs a private practice in central Vermont utilizing acupuncture, Chinese and Western botanicals, homeopathy, and nutrition as his primary therapeutic modalities. As part of his Classical Chinese medical training, Dr. Hollis completed teacher-training in Qigong, a martial art which provides the foundation of his acupuncture practice..." - from the seminar guide.
Here the students are practicing Qigong with Dr. Hollis in the evening light near the beach.
Sure beats PowerPoint presentations in a dark hall, eh?
Other activities included a wide range of interesting practices - from nutritionists, to massage therapists, and even a licensed MD who has extensive training as a Shaman. (She held a shamanic ritual to introduce students to her counseling practice, but I was restricted from photographing the ceremony.)
