Last week was Orientation Week for incoming students at St. George's University.
Throughout the week I gave directions, guided island tours, took photos, and lent a hand to anyone who looked remotely nervous about their new surroundings.
The week ended with a big bazaar full of food and a healthy number of kiosks for local vendors to showcase their artwork/products/services.
After a week of standing I decided to take a seat across from an interesting Caucasian Rastafarian portrait artist.
"Would you like a portrait?" she asked.
"Oh, thank you, but I'm just sitting for a moment," I replied.
Then she said I was her first customer and she needed to warm up so my portrait would be free of charge. I couldn't refuse a free portrait...
